Kyle LeDuc, an American professional racing driver, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2023, after battling with cancer. He died at the age of 42.
LeDuc has been battling stage four head and neck cancer since last November. At the beginning of June, he announced that he would skip the 2023 season to concentrate on his recovery. Even so, he continued to have hope for a recovery, sharing updates on Instagram from his workshop to get back on track.
The Championship Off-Road released his death news through an official post which stated:
“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the news that seven-time Pro 4 champion Kyle LeDuc has passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. LeDuc remains a legend in the off-road world and one of the winningest drivers in short-course history, including the 2020 Championship Off-Road Pro 4 title.
He was a passionate champion and intense competitor whose infectious energy will be missed on and off the track. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the LeDuc family and everyone at Kyle LeDuc 99 Racing.”
LeDuc is survived by his two children and his spouse, Amber. Social media has been flooded with prayers and sympathies on the news of LeDuc’s demise. Leduc’s legacy will always endure, and he will be dearly missed.

American professional racer Kyle LeDuc was born on July 29, 1981. His primary competition was short course off-road truck racing. LeDuc had also competed in races for Stadium Super Trucks, Championship Off-Road Racing, and TORC: The Off-Road Championship.
LeDuc was the son of Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Famer and Dakar veteran Curt LeDuc and the brother of multiple champion and Pro 2 and Class 8 champion Todd.
LeDuc won two Pro Lite championships, three Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series challenge cups, two Pro 4 world championships, two LOORRS driver of the year awards, and seven Pro 4 championships over his career, six in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and one in the more recent Championship Off-Road series. He won more than 100 races overall.
LeDuc could not win an eighth championship in the Championship Off-Road Pro 4 series in 2022 after finishing second behind C.J. Greaves. Meanwhile, in the international arena, he and Sara Price assisted Chip Ganassi Racing in winning their maiden Extreme E round in Sardinia.
LeDuc participated in the electric rally series from the beginning and placed ninth overall in 2021. LeDuc, who just won an Extreme E race with Sara Price, is soaring high over the Chilean hills for Chip Ganassi Racing.
