Imperial Stewart Missing: For more than a week now, the family of Imperial Stewart has been in the community, on the streets, trying to drum up any information they can about the missing teen.
As the days go forward, the concern only grows about what could have happened to him. His family is hoping for the best but fearing the worst.
“I just want him home, so we can have peace, so my family can rest,” said Stewart’s grandmother Ruth Hampton.
17-year old Imperial Stewart vanished Wednesday of last week. In the days since, family and friends have been out on the east side, knocking on doors, passing out flyers and trying to get any insight they can.
“I’m just out here to spread the word,” said family friend Felicia Smith.
The key to more information could be with Michael and Mi’Quel Bowles. Columbus police have named them as persons of interest in the investigation.
Investigator Lisa Rantala spoke with Michael’s mother for a story two years ago. She detailed her concerns about her then-17-year-old who’d been in trouble with the law for robbery and threatening someone with a gun.
“I need him found, because I don’t want his mom going through any of this,” said Smith.
Columbus police have said that foul play could be involved. They continue to go over evidence from a car connected to Stewart’s disappearance.
