It is with heavy hearts that we report the news of Dr. Trey Thomas’ passing Sunday. The cause of death was attributed to natural causes during an afternoon nap. The beloved doctor was known for his dedicated service, compassion, and sincere concern for each of his patients. Dr. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of loving care, and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
Who was Dr. Trey Thomas?
Dr. Trey Thomas was a one-of-a-kind surgeon that was adored by everyone at the hospital. His immense talent in the operating room, combined with his huge heart, made him especially beloved. He always greeted people with a kind “Good morning,” and nothing ever seemed to faze him. On top of all that, Dr. Thomas was also very talented musically! His cheerful singing filled the air of the operating theater as he harmonized with artists such as Shania Twain, Alan Jackson’s gospel music, and Zac Brown’s band. He had such an amazing voice that many will miss hearing his presence when they are in surgery. Though Dr. Trey Thomas will be greatly missed by many, all those who worked with him agree that he deserves to be remembered forever because of his incredible kindness and love for others before himself.

Dr. Thomas passed into eternity yesterday very peacefully during an afternoon nap. A blessing in itself.

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, the world lost a beloved family man, friend, and colleague in Dr. Trey Thomas.
